complications such as intestinal obstruction, ischemia,
perforation and peritonitis. Abdominal computer
tomography scan usually assists in the diagnosis of
small bowel volvulus, which has characteristic imaging
findings. Our aim is to present two cases of midgut
volvulus that computed tomography revealed in both
cases, signs of small bowel obstruction in concordance
with the whirl sign.
