with magnetic resonance venography is the diagnostic
method of choice, accelerates the selection of the
proper therapy and determines the prognosis. The
non specific clinical presentation, the great number of
etiologic factors and the indiscernible, in several cases,
imaging findings may prevent prompt and correct
diagnosis. This delay may have a serious impact on
the morbidity and mortality of these patients.
