with Guglielmi Detachable Coil Embolization.
Inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms
in association with celiac trunk occlusion are rare
and necessitate careful strategy planning and
intervention. We describe endovascular management
of a saccular aneurysm of the proximal inferior
pancreaticoduodenal artery with occluded celiac trunk.
Controlled deployment of Guglielmi detachable coils
was performed in order to preserve flow through the
pancreaticoduodenal arcades as the only supply to
the celiac trunk. Completion arteriography showed no
residual filling of the aneurysm. Follow-up sonography
at two years after the procedure did not show any
signs of aneurysm recanalization.
